Greenwich Village Story is a 1963 feature film written and directed by Jack O'Connell. The film involves an early sixties point of view of women's health, sexual rights, and the sexual revolution from a singularly male perspective. The protagonist is forced to make choices after getting pregnant out of wedlock. Filmed in Greenwich Village and the Berkshires including a nude swimming scene filmed on Lake Garfield, Massachusetts. According to the director, the sounds of motorboat engines threatened to take over the scene's audio and were replaced by pre-recorded crickets.
