Gray is a census-designated place (CDP) in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 7,958 at the 2000 census. It is part of the HoumaBayou CaneThibodaux Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Gray is the residence of the District 51 state representative, Republican Beryl Amedee.

Gray is located at 29°40′52″N 90°46′53″W / 29.68111°N 90.78139°W / 29.68111; -90.78139 (29.680993, -90.781414).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 11.6 square miles (30 km2), all land.

As of the census of 2000, there were 4,958 people, 1,681 households, and 1,267 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 425.9 people per square mile (164.5/km²). There were 1,799 housing units at an average density of 154.5 per square mile (59.7/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 59.12% White, 36.55% African American, 2.26% Native American, 0.36% Asian, 0.36% from other races, and 1.35% from two or more races.
