Grandmother's House is a 1988 American horror film produced by Nico Mastorakis in 1988.
A boy called David and his sister Lynn move to their grandparents' house set in a remote orchard in the American mid-west after the death of their parents.
As soon as they arrive David begins seeing a strange lady wearing period country clothes, who mysteriously appears and disappears at random. Later the woman reveals herself and the siblings discover she has escaped from a local mental hospital.
The woman chases them all over the house and grounds whilst brandishing the obligatory kitchen knife (stalwart of slasher films from the 70's and 80's). Eventually, the woman is caught and imprisoned by the grandfather of the children and a horrifying plot twist is revealed.
