The Rajkiya Engineering College, Mainpuri or REC Mainpuri, is a rajkiya engineering college in Mainpuri. It is a constituent college of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (formerly Uttar Pradesh Technical University) in Lucknow. The classes for this college are currently being conducted in the campus of Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur. During its inception the institute was headed by the Director Of HBTI ( now HBTU ) who use to act as Principal of REC Mainpuri and REC Kannauj but all executive powers were in hands of Nodal Officer. The first and only Nodal Officer of REC Mainpuri was Dr. Pradeep Kumar who is also project officer of REC Mainpuri after the post Nodal Officer and Principal was dissolved and every executive powers came directly in the hands of Director.
Rajkiya Engineering College , Mainpuri currently 180 undergraduates through UPSEE conducted by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University, Lucknow. Till this year college was admitting 12 students directly in B. Tech 2nd Year through lateral entry admission examinations conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University.
Students of the first ever batch of REC Mainpuri organized the first ever fest of REC Mainpuri and named it ABHINANDAN'16. This fest was organized for welcoming the newly admitted students of REC Mainpuri.
