Gordon Ashby Kirkland (July 26, 1904 – June 24, 1953) was the head football along with baseball and basketball coaches and athletic director for Catawba College from 1934 to 1948. During his tenures, he led his teams to eight North State Conference football titles, nine basketball crowns, and two baseball championships. He was a graduate of Elon College. He is a member of the Catawba College, Salisbury Athletic and North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame.
