Gopal Singha Dev was the fifty-fifth king of the Mallabhum. He ruled from 1712 to 1748 CE.

On 1742 Gopal Singha Dev decided to use this Dal Madal Kaman (Cannon) to get protection from the attack of the Maratha Sardar Bhaskar Rao.
