Golden Eagle Award for Best Actress is also known as Audience's Choice for Actress (Chinese name: 中国电视金鹰奖最佳女主角, 1983–1999; 最佳表演艺术女演员, 2003-2014;中国电视金鹰奖观众喜爱的女演员, 2016–present). The top honour is voted in by the China Television Artists Association, and chosen from the Audience's Choice winners. This category was absent during 2000-2002.
