The 2018 Georgia gubernatorial election will take place on November 6, 2018, to elect the Governor of Georgia. Incumbent Republican Governor Nathan Deal is term-limited and cannot seek re-election to a third consecutive term.
Minority Leader of the Georgia House of Representatives Stacey Abrams has filed paperwork for a potential campaign for governor. Abrams has stated that she is "exploring a run and has not yet committed to the race."
