Gary McDaid, sometimes known as David, is a Gaelic football manager. Currently overseeing Glenswilly, he has led that team to two Donegal Senior Football Championships (2011 and 2013). They also won the 2013 All-County Football League Division Two title. He took a year off in 2012 and the team failed to win the Championship. He blessed Michael Murphy before he captained Ireland. McDaid achieved national recognition for his criticisms of the county board. He is currently a selector with the Donegal inter-county team.
He also teaches P.E.E. at Saint Eunan's College and manages some of its teams. He is married with two children.
