"Fuego" (English: Fire) is a song by Greek singer Eleni Foureira. The song represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. The song title was announced to the public (although not confirmed by CyBC) on 25 January 2018, and was composed by Swedish producer and songwriter Alex P. The song was released on 2 March 2018.
The song was written by Alex Papaconstantinou, Geraldo Sandell, Viktor Svensson, Anderz Wrethov and "Didrick". The melody employs the millennial whoop pattern.
Eleni Foureira was announced as the Cypriot act for the 2018 contest on 25 January 2018 after weeks of rumours regarding the artist selection. However, this announcement was not by the Cypriot broadcaster, and was not official. On 1 February 2018, it was announced by the CyBC that the song Fuego would represent Cyprus at the 2018 contest with Eleni Foureira as the singer.
The artist who was rumoured to have been asked to represent Cyprus is the winner of Eurovision Song Contest 2005, Helena Paparizou.
