Frozen Scream is a 1980 American horror film directed by Frank Roach. It stars Renee Harmon, who also produced and co-wrote the story.
A mad scientist tries to create a drug for immortality. Before he manages to test it however he is kidnapped by his fellow scientists who are part of a cult who believe that the drug plus low temperatures will be able to create frozen zombies. The missing scientist's wife calls on her ex-boyfriend, a detective who is on the kidnapping case, to help her.
Frozen Scream was briefly prosecuted in the UK under the "video nasties" but was withdrawn from prosecution.
AllMovie called the film an "unintentionally surreal" and "highly bizarre experience psychotronic devotees should enjoy enduring." Writing in The Zombie Movie Encyclopedia, academic Peter Dendle called it a "dismal and homely backyard effort".
