Frances Halsband (born October 30, 1943, in New York City) is an American architect. She received her B.A. at Swarthmore College in 1965 and a Master's from Columbia University in 1968. She has served on juries for design awards and chaired the 1999 American Institute of Architects Committee on Design.
In 2014, Halsband was recognized for her work designing the Long Island Rail Road Entrance, New York Penn Station, a winning site of Built by Women New York City, a competition launched by the Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation during the fall of 2014 to identify outstanding and diverse sites and spaces designed, engineered and built by women.
