Forest Lake Area High School, also known as Forest Lake High School, is a public three-year high school in Forest Lake, Minnesota founded in 1909. The school is a member of Minnesota Independent School District 831 (Forest Lake Area School District). The school competes in the Suburban East Conference of the Minnesota State High School League
Forest Lake High School was named one of the top 1,500 high schools in the country by Newsweek Magazine in 2013.
Forest Lake Area High School is a modern, well-equipped public comprehensive high school with an enrollment close to 1800 students in grades 10 through 12. Campus and building features include: 500 plus seat state-of-the-art auditorium, Over 65 classrooms including specialized science labs, lecture areas and small instructional settings, A campus which includes a high capacity seating, lighted outdoor football, soccer and a 6-lane, all-weather track stadium, Video production facility with Public-access television cable TV to classrooms, Fully equipped strength-conditioning-fitness facility and forum, Voice mail and e-mail for all faculty and staff, and Parent access to student data through School View. Students also have been linked to their own e-mail addresses for easy access and communication with teachers about any questions concerning homework or projects.
