Fonds de dotation de l’ICOM

The Fonds de dotation de l'ICOM (ICOM Endowment Fund of the International Council of Museums) was founded in 2013 in Paris at UNESCO. The Fund supports initiatives shaping 21st century museums. The Funds provides financial and operational support for activities which address the global community of museums, promoting the social role of the museums and their contribution to intellectual, artistic and heritage life. The ICOM Fund's actions meet the following objectives: enhancement of the social value of museums; support for innovation in museums; preservation of heritage and implementation of risk reduction measures; and strengthening of professional skills and capacity-building. The Fund supports, besides the activities of the International Council of Museums such as publications, exhibitions, and trainings,International Museum Day, European Museum Forum,The Best in Heritage and the European Museum of the Year Award.

Bjorn Stenvers was appointed Executive Director of the Fonds de dotation de l'ICOM.
