State Road 514 (SR 514), also known as Malabar Road, is a 10 miles (16 km) long east–west highway that serves Palm Bay and Malabar, Florida. It is the only east–west Brevard County major road to be in the 27th and 28th degrees latitude, and the dividing line between north and south Palm Bay.
Between the town limits of Malabar and U.S. Route 1, the speed limit is 55 with two lanes. Both the city halls of Palm Bay and Malabar are located on this road. Through the city of Palm Bay, Florida, the road opens to four-to-six lanes. SR 514 ends at the interchange with Interstate 95, where the road continues as County Road 514.
At the western end of Palm Bay, the road is again two lanes wide, with a speed limit of 45 because the area is largely residential. West of Palm Bay Regional Park, the road becomes a dirt road and passes the Indian Fields. For one-and-a-half miles, the roads remains unpaved. It then turns to a north–south road as it enters Three Forks Marsh Conservation Area and is again paved for one mile (1.6 km). The true western terminus of Malabar Road is within the Three Forks Marsh Conservation Area.
