Fatimah al-Sughra bint al-Husayn (Arabic: فـاطـمـة الـصـغـرى بـنـت الـحـسـيـن, translit. Fāṭimah aṣ-Ṣughra bint al-Ḥusayn, lit. 'Fatima the Younger, daughter of Husayn') was a daughter of the Islamic Imam Al-Husayn ibn ‘Ali, and his wife, Umm Ishaq bint Talhah. It is believed that, at the age of 8, she was ill and left behind at Al-Medinah when Al-Husain took part in the Battle of Karbala’ (680 ACE).
