Farrukh Yassar |
Farrukh Yassar II was the 42nd shah of Shirvan.
Not much known about his reign; even his existence wasn't known until discovery of 906 silver Shirvanshah coins in 1934, Salyan. But it was known that his son was invited by local nobility to succeed Khalilullah II. Probably he was forced to flee to Dagestan, upon rebellion against his brother Khalilullah II, as mentioned by Munejjimbashi. However, another numismatic evidence shows that he somehow managed to mint coins with his name on them.
