Farmington is a town in Waupaca County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 4,148 at the 2000 census. The town includes the census-designated place known as King, and the unincorporated communities of Cobb Town, and Sheridan. The census-designated place of Chain O' Lakes is also located partially in the town.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 35.5 square miles (91.8 km²), of which, 34.5 square miles (89.3 km²) of it is land and 1.0 square miles (2.6 km²) of it (2.79%) is water.

As of the census of 2000, there were 4,148 people, 1,326 households, and 1,021 families residing in the town. The population density was 120.3 people per square mile (46.5/km²). There were 1,637 housing units at an average density of 47.5 per square mile (18.3/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.55% White, 0.05% African American, 0.17% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.41% from other races, and 0.65% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.80% of the population.

There were 1,326 households out of which 33.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.0% were married couples living together, 6.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.0% were non-families. 19.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.53 and the average family size was 2.88.
