Faith Theological Seminary is a conservative, evangelical Christian seminary founded in 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland. Originally located in Wilmington, Delaware, it moved to Philadelphia in 1952, then to its current location in Maryland in 2004. It was founded and incorporated in the summer of 1937 by Rev. Dr. Carl McIntire (President of the Board of Directors), Rev. Allan A. MacRae (President of the Seminary and Professor of Old Testament), Th.B., Ph.D., James E. Bennet, Esquire (Vice President), Rev. Harold S. Laird (Secretary), Roland K. Armes (Treasurer), Rev. Roy Talmage Brumbaugh, D.D. , Rev. David Otis Fuller, D.D., William A. Chamberlin, P.D., Peter Stam, Jr., Rev. James R. Graham, Jr., Rev. A.L. Lathem, Ph.D., D.D., Rev. William R. McCarrell, D.D., Professor J.A. Barkley, Frederic M. Paist, Ernest R. Robinson, Rev. Percy B. Crawford, Rev. Milo F. Jamison, Rev. Merril T. MacPherson, Rev. Martin Luther Thomas, D.D., LL.D., James L. Rankin, Esquire and Weidner Titzck, Esquire. Carl McIntire and Allan MacRae, served as its first presidents. The current President of the Seminary is Norman J. Manohar.

Faith Theological Seminary is a member of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS), [15935 Forest Road, Forest, VA 24551; Telephone: (434).525-9539; e-mail: info@tracs.org] having been awarded Accredited Status as a Category IV institution by the TRACS Accreditation Commission on April 21, 2015. This status is effective for a period of up to five years. TRACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education, the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).

Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) is a four-year academic degree (120 credit hours) for persons interested in completing an undergraduate degree that will increase their knowledge and effectiveness by developing a more complete biblical and theological understanding.

The Master of Divinity (M.Div.) is a three-year professional degree (90 credits) program designed to train men and women preparing to serve Christ in Pastoral and other Christian ministries.

The Doctor of Ministry degree (30 credits) is the highest professional degree for those engaged in local church ministries, world missions, and similar ministries. Students in the D.Min.

The Doctor of Theology (Th.D.) degree (60 credits) is our highest professional degree designed to prepared men and women for vocations of teaching and research and the scholarly enrichment of Christian ministry. It encompasses the view that the best tools for such vocations develop through training in Biblical Hermeneutics, Biblical Theology, Biblical History, and Biblical Exegesis.
