Etterby was a village in Cumbria, England. It is now a northwestern suburb of Carlisle, on the northern side of the River Eden. The Redfern Inn was designed by British architect Harry Redfern.

A popular place that's well known for the quality of the houses, Etterby is a kind of private community, situated on the banks of the river Eden, it attracts many visitors/walkers/hikers to the area.
