Establishment Secretary of Pakistan

Establishment Secretary of Pakistan is the Federal Secretary of the Establishment Division. The position holder is a BPS-22 grade officer, usually belonging to the Pakistan Administrative Service. The Establishment Secretary is incharge of the country's civil service, making him the boss of every civil servant who is serving in BPS-21 grade and below. The position is considered to be one of the three most powerful bureaucratic positions in the country- alongside Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of Pakistan and Cabinet Secretary of Pakistan. The Establishment Secretary reports directly to the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
