Ernest Angell

Ernest Angell (1889 – January 11, 1973) served as President of the American Civil Liberties Union for 19 years, from 1950 to 1969.

His first wife Katharine Sergeant Angell White was fiction editor of The New Yorker and their son Roger Angell is a writer.
