Erick Dowson Prado Meléndez (born January 25, 1976 in San Salvador) is a retired Salvadoran footballer.

A tall and tough defensive midfielder, Prado has had a lengthy career in the Salvadoran Premier Division, starting with ADET, with whom he clinched promotion to the top tier, alongside Santos Rivera and Héctor Canjura.

After short spells at Alianza, ADET again, FAS and Atlético Marte, he ended up at Isidro Metapán for whom he played for almost 10 successive years bar a short stint at Second Division side FESA.

Skipper of Isidro Metapán, Prado suffered a serious knee injury at the end of the 2010 Apertura season and after almost 500 matches in 17 years of professional football, Prado finished his playing career in 2011, to become a coach.

Prado made his debut for El Salvador in a December 1993 friendly match against the United States and has earned a total of 20 caps, scoring no goals.

He has represented his country in 7 FIFA World Cup qualification matches and played at the 1999 and 2005 UNCAF Nations Cups as well as at the 1996 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
