Eric M. Esquivel


Eric Michael Esquivel is an American comic book writer and journalist.

Esquivel was born in Gurnee, Illinois on February 10, 1987. He currently lives and works in Los Angeles.

Esquivel is known for a brand of writing that includes references to popular culture as well as sociopolitical commentary.

Esquivel participated in Jon Morris' blog Cornered with an illustration of Marvel Comics' Captain Mar-Vell character. The piece was inked, colored, and lettered by Hannah Nance Partlow (letterer of Boom Studios' Adventure Time: Candy Capers).

Esquivel was a presenter at the 2012 Bleeding Cool Awards, presenting the award for Best Fight Scene of The Last Twelve Months.

Esquivel is the co-creator (Along with artist James Fry) of the Sonic The Hedgehog Villain "The War Walrus", and the co-creator (along with artist Carl Scacchitano)of the Mega Man villain "Dubstep Man".

Esquivel is the author of the of G.I. Joe novella "Storm Shadow: 21st Century Boy", featuring the popular characters Storm Shadow, and Snake Eyes.

He is the co-creator and author the Roberto Roberto eBook series for Frederator Books.

Esquivel has worked as a journalist and critic, writing for such websites as Bleeding Cool,Fox News Latino, Bookmans Entertainment Exchange, and The Tucson Citizen.

Esquivel's book Thor: Unkillable Thunder Christ received a 9.8 rating from Multiversity Comics.

Bravest Warriors #13 received a 4 out of 5 from Comic Bastards.
