Emma Swift is an Australian 'sadcore' Americana/country singer. Her self-titled EP, recorded in Nashville with producer Anne McCue, was nominated for a 2014 ARIA Award for Best Country Album.

She relocated to Nashville in 2013. "I went to Tennessee looking for kindred spirits. I’m from Sydney, which is a great city, but it’s not exactly classic country heaven the way that Nashville is. I love a good honky tonk. I love thrift store sequins. I love lonely hearted hedonists likely to spend their last five bucks on cheap beer and loading up the jukebox with Tammy Wynette songs. That’s what drew me to Nashville."

Swift is also an award winning radio broadcaster, hosting Americana music show In The Pines on FBi Radio and 'Revelator' on Double J at Australian Broadcasting Corporation in Sydney, Australia.

She has toured USA, Australia, UK and Europe with Robyn Hitchcock, releasing two singles together, 'Follow Your Money' in 2015 and 'Love Is A Drag' in 2016, produced by Norman Blake of Teenage Fanclub . Swift also performs backing vocals along with Gillian Welch and Pat Sansone of Wilco on Hitchcock's 2017 release.

Swift was handpicked by Ryan Adams to open for him in Australia in 2016.
