Eleanor Patricia Smith is a British Labour Party politician. She has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Wolverhampton South West since the 2017 general election. She is the first MP from an African Caribbean background to represent a constituency in the West Midlands; her constituency was formerly represented by the anti-immigration Conservative MP Enoch Powell.
Prior to being an MP, Smith was a theatre nurse and President of the trade union Unison in 2011. She has also served as Chair of the Midlands Regional Trades Union Congress.
