Elaine Aron

Elaine Aron is a psychologist and author. Her best-selling book is The Highly Sensitive Person, published in 1996, which has sold over a million copies.

Dr. Aron completed undergraduate studies Phi Beta Kappa at the University of California, Berkeley, and later earned an M.A. in clinical psychology from York University and a Ph.D. in clinical depth psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute. She interned at the C. G. Jung Institute in San Francisco.

Aron is married to SUNY-Stony Brook psychology professorArthur Aron.
