Egypt Lake-Leto is located at 28°0′55″N 82°30′26″W / 28.01528°N 82.50722°W / 28.01528; -82.50722 (28.015396, -82.507311); or approximately 4.3 miles northwest of Tampa. The elevation for the CDP is 45 feet above sea level.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the community has a total area of 6.2 square miles (16 km2), of which 6.0 square miles (16 km2) is land and 0.2 square miles (0.52 km2) (3.55%) is water.

Egypt Lake-Leto is a census area only and contains separate communities of Egypt Lake, Leto, and West Park Estates.

As of the census of 2010, there were 35,282 people, 13,800 households, and 8,612 families residing in the census area. The population density was 5,491.7 people per square mile (2,120.1/km²).
