Edward Stabler is a Professor of Linguistics at the University of California, Los Angeles. His primary areas of research are (1) Natural Language Processing (NLP), (2) Parsing and formal language theory, and (3) Philosophy of Logic and Language. He has been member of the faculty at UCLA since 1984. His work involves the production of software for minimalist grammars (MGs) and related systems.
Stabler received his Ph.D. from the Department of Linguistics and Philosophy at MIT in 1981.
