Edward McEntee


Edward Matthew McEntee (October 21, 1906 – February 14, 1981) was a Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

McIntee was born and lived most of his life in Rhode Island. He attended College of the Holy Cross and Boston University School of Law, and served as a member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives from 1935 to 1939. He was an Assistant United States Attorney in Rhode Island from 1940 to 1951 and served as the United States Attorney for Rhode Island in 1952 to 1953.

In 1965, President Lyndon B. Johnson named McIntee to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He served as an active judge for 11 years, until the end of 1976, when he took senior status.
