Edward Yong Oh (Korean name: Oh Jongseok; born July 7, 1990), better known by his stage name Eddy Oh, is an American singer who is a member of the South Korean boy band JJCC. Eddy was first seen on MasterChef Korea back in 2012.
Eddy was born in the United States, moving to South Korea when he was 14. In 2012, Eddy was a trainee under the agency SidusHQ and there were plan for him to debut in a group, but these plans did not materialize. In addition to the typical idol training, Eddy has received training in martial arts and acrobatics. He graduated from "Seoul Action School" founded by actor and martial arts director Jung Doo-hong, and he also learned martial arts and acrobatics in China. He has stated in interviews that he hopes to star in action movies in the future.
Eddy's parents own restaurants in the United States, which inspired Eddy's interest in cooking.
In 2012, Eddy participated in MasterChef Korea, where he was nicknamed the "Cooking Rapper".
Eddy debuted in the group JJCC (pronounced Double-JC, Hangul: 더블제이씨) in March 14, 2014, with four other members: E.co, SimBa, San-Cheong, and Prince Mak. Their debut single, At First, was then released on March 24, 2014, and has achieved over 1 million views as of December 2014. JJCC is the first K-pop idol group to be formed by Jackie Chan.
