Ectopia (medicine)

In medicine, an ectopia (/ɛkˈtoʊpiə/) is a displacement or malposition of an organ or other body part, which is then referred to as ectopic (/ɛkˈtɒpɪk/). Most ectopias are congenital, but some may happen later in life.
