Doug McGuff, MD, is a doctor, and weight lifter. He owns and operates his own gym, Ultimate Exercise, and collaborated in writing Body by Science with John Little, a book promoting the benefits of HIT Training.
Published in 2009, Body By Science lays out the science behind HIT training, as well as outlining a simple workout program. McGuff's ideas are heavily influenced by the late Mike Mentzer, the progenitor of HIT training.
