Dominic Panganiban (born September 27, 1990 in Manila, Philippines) is a Filipino-Canadian YouTuber and animator known for his YouTube channel Domics. The channel generally posts videos Panganiban animates in which he tells a story about his life, or muses about one aspect of it. As of January 2017, this channel has over 389 million views. In November 2016, the channel gained 288,614 subscribers, making it the 94th most subscribed channel in the world that month. As of early 2017, his channel had over 3.8 million subscribers. His videos have been featured on multiple websites, including NewNowNext, the Malay Mail Online, and CBS News' website. In November 2014, he joined the multi-channel YouTube network Channel Frederator Network. Prior to doing so, he had been working for a similar YouTube network known as Fullscreen. In July 2015, he told USA Today that compared to Fullscreen, "Frederator was a better fit, because they cater more towards animation channels." Dominic originally drew online comics, hence his screen name "Domics." He discontinued this to create YouTube videos full time.
According to one of his videos entitled "My Ancestry Results", he's related to Lani Misalucha, a popular singer in the Philippines. It was also mentioned in the video that he was part Polynesian and 1% Indian.
Dominic created his main YouTube channel, Domics, in August of 2012. Since opening his Youtube channel, he has gained more than 4,068,000 subscribers and 389 million views over 125 videos (January 2017). His most popular video has 13 million views as of early 2017. The video, titled "Butts," was released June 11, 2014. He releases multiple videos every month, each accumulating anywhere from a million to 8 million views apiece. His monochrome animations generally consist of him talking about either specific experiences in his life or more general topics.
