The soundtrack of the 2008–2010 specials in the Doctor Who series was released on 4 October 2010 on two CDs by Silva Screen Records. When purchased from the iTunes Store, it also includes a digital booklet and two bonus tracks.
The track 'Altering Lives' is featured again in the episode The Day of the Doctor. The song 'Vale Decem' features excerpts of 'The Doctor's Theme' from the Series 1 and 2 soundtrack. 'Vale Decem' loosely translates to "Farewell Ten" in Latin.
