In shogi, Direct Opposing Rook (ダイレクト向かい飛車 dairekuto mukaibisha) is an Opposing Rook (Ranging Rook) opening in which the player's bishop diagonal (角道) remains open allowing for a bishop trade (角交換) early in the opening.
