Richard E. Albert, known traditionally as Dick Albert (born 1945) was the co-chief meteorologist on WCVB-TV, channel 5, in Boston, Massachusetts along with Harvey Leonard. He was with the station from 1978–2009, delivering the evening and nighttime forecasts. He presented the 5:00 and 6:00 weather reports on NewsCenter 5, while Leonard worked on the 5:30 and 11:00 newscasts.

On February 4, 2009, Albert announced his retirement. His final forecast was on February 26.

In late 2010, he contributed to the book, "Extreme New England Weather" written by Josh Judge, with his thoughts on "The Perfect Storm" in 1991. Book website

A native of Newton, Massachusetts, Albert studied at University of Michigan and worked in Denver and at KRON-TV in San Francisco. He also served as an Air Force weatherman.

Albert lives in Boston with his wife, Mary Ann. He has two sons, Matt (Oakland, CA) and Marc (Sudbury, MA)
