Derrick Jones (born March 3, 1997) is a soccer player who plays for Philadelphia Union in Major League Soccer. Born in Ghana, Jones represents the USA internationally.
Jones signed to play with United Soccer League side Bethlehem Steel FC from the Philadelphia Union Academy on December 3, 2015, becoming their first-ever player signing.
He joined the Philadelphia Union Academy from Junior Lone Star FC in 2013 and immediately made an impact for the U-16s.
The following year in 2014-15, Jones played in 26 games with 21 starts for the Union U-18s. He scored eight goals while helping lead the team to the United States Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) playoffs, where they finished second in group play.
Jones grew up in Ghana but has dual citizenship with the United States, having moved to the country when he was 14 years old. Jones represented Ghana at U15 level but accepted a call up to represent USA U20 in October 2016.
