Clube (or Grupo) Desportivo Recreativo e Cultural Delta (Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK as well as Badiu: Txadensi) is a football club that plys in the Santiago Island South Zone League in Cape Verde. It is based in a neighborhood of Praia. The club currently plays in the regional Second Division for the 2016-17 season.
The name is absolutely unrelated to the cultural association based in Tarrafal named Delta Cultura, it even has its own football club that has been playing at Santiago North Zone Second Division since 2016.
The club had played at Estádio da Várzea. As they are in the second division, they play at other wide football (soccer) fields in Ponta d'Água and Calabaceira.
Its logo is colored blue in the shape of the fourth letter of the Greek alphabet Delta, the shape is slightly wider into a form of a triangle. The club name is on the bottom written in white and in the middle, the hand.
The played in the first division, then the second division in the late 2000s.
At the end of the 2014-15 season, Delta finished first in the second division after Eugênio Lima, a club formerly known as Lapaloma.
Delta once again played in the Premier Division but only for a season in the 2015-16 season, it was their first that had 22 matches, it was a sufferable season for Delta. They lost the first match to Bairro on November 15 but remained in a good position with Boavista, they lost the second match to Varanda a week later, then lost to Desportivo da Praia in week 3, then Académica 3-2 in week 4. Delta saw a relief with a two-goal draw with Eugênio Lima, things went to the worse for Delta, a suffering loss by Boavista followed on January 10, ended 0-4. After two consecutive losses, Delta went to last place in the division and there was a last chance to remain as they went to a three-goal draw with Sporting. Their chance faded when they lost to Os Garridos 4-2, they went to a four-game losing streak, one of the match lost to Travadores 5-0 on February 12. Delta had a goal draw with Varanda on February 28. A week later, Delta suffered as they conceded the most goals in a match, the club lost 7-1 to Desportivo da Praia on March 6 which was their worst defeat, on May 8, it became the second, their next loss was to Eugênio Lima. The club's last draw of the season was a scoreless draw with Boavista on April 3. Delta suffered a five-game losing streak, at the same time, it was unescapable for Delta to leave the relegation zone. The club only had four points, four draws and 18 losses and was last place, the club scored 15 goals, second last to Varanda, the club conceded 60 goals, one of the worst in the season, Delta was relegated into the second division for the following season along with Varanda.
