Deh Siva Var Mohe
Deh Shiva bar Mohe is a 17th-century hymn (shabad) written by Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, in the Dasam Granth.
The language used is Braj Bhasha.
The hymn is a part of Chandi Charitar which describes the glory of Shakti (power), a section of the Dasam Granth.
ਦੇਹ ਸਿਵਾ ਬਰੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਇਹੈ ਸੁਭ ਕਰਮਨ ਤੇ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਨ ਟਰੋਂ ॥ ਨ ਡਰੋਂ ਅਰਿ ਸੋ ਜਬ ਜਾਇ ਲਰੋਂ ਨਿਸਚੈ ਕਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਜੀਤ ਕਰੋਂ ॥ ਅਰੁ ਸਿਖ ਹੋਂ ਆਪਨੇ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਕੌ ਇਹ ਲਾਲਚ ਹਉ ਗੁਨ ਤਉ ਉਚਰੋਂ ॥ ਜਬ ਆਵ ਕੀ ਅਉਧ ਨਿਦਾਨ ਬਨੈ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਰਨ ਮੈ ਤਬ ਜੂਝ ਮਰੋਂ ॥੨੩੧॥
Deh siva bar mohe eh-hey subh karman te kabhu na taro. Na daro arr seo jab jaye laro nischey kar apni jit karo. Arr Sikh ho apne he mann ko, eh laalach hou gun tau ucharo. Jab aav ki audh nidan bane att he rann me tabh joojh maro.

The entire 'Chandi di Vaar' is a graphic violent battlefield scene written by tenth Guru Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji, with the primary intent of encouraging Sikhs to confront horrific scenes they would experience in forthcoming battles to defend human rights and within their own mind, the path of righteousness. Guruji invoked shiva, a name given for the internal form of god (god having 2 forms sargun/nirgun) third form being formless (nirinkar) to get the blessings for the (shakti) ability to face difficult situations with fearlessness. Some people will write he invoked shiva (a hindu goddess) but this can be misleading as sri guru gobind singh ji and the previous successors and current (sri guru granth sahib ji) clearly state sikhs worship one creator, call thee waheguru, allah, ram or whatever the name anyone may have for the one absolute creator god. In Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji it starts with a number 'Ek' or 1, one of the reasons for this is it signifies everything and everyone comes from 'Ek' regardless of what religion or background they are from, Sikhs worship that 'Ek' 1 and not anything else.
