David W. King is an American politician from the state of New Mexico. A former member of the Democratic Party, he served as the State Treasurer of New Mexico from 1990 to 1994. He also served as a Commissioner of the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission. He changed party affiliation in 1995 and is the nephew of New Mexico Governor Bruce King.
King served as Deputy State Treasurer under James B. Lewis and was elected state treasurer in 1990.
He ran for re-election in 1994, but lost to Michael A. Montoya in the democratic primary on June 7, 1994.
