David Jones (writer)

David S. Jones is a British writer from London, England, who created the concept of the children's television series Fireman Sam, with Dave Gingell.

In 2012, Jones was detained for an hour at Gatwick Airport following concerns over an allegedly racist remark. In July 2016, the television station Channel 5 removed an episode of Fireman Sam in which a page from the Koran is seen being trodden on by one of the characters.
