Danijel Milićević (born 5 January 1986) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Belgian club Gent and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
Milićević played for two teams in his home country, Switzerland, before moving to Belgium. He played mostly in second division.
Milićević's first foreign team was Eupen. He helped the team win the promotion to the First Division in Belgium. When Eupen were relegated after one season, Milićević moved to Charleroi, then-Second Division team.
Milićević came to Charleroi in the summer of 2011. After one season in Second Division, Charleroi were promoted by winning the league, with Milićević impressing and attracting the interest of bigger clubs.
Milićević transferred to Gent in January 2014. He made his debut later that month, coming off the bench against Kortrijk. His first goals came against Zulte-Waregem, in a 3–1 win on 17 August 2014. Danijel helped Gent win their first ever Belgian champions title in season 2014–15.
On 29 January 2016, he extended his contract until 2019.
Milićević was eligible to represent three nations on senior level: Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, having played for Switzerland on youth levels.
In 2015, he expressed his desire to play for Bosnia and Herzegovina under Mehmed Baždarević.
In June 2016, FIFA gave Bosnia and Herzegovina its approval to select Milićević. As a result, in August 2016, Milićević was named in Bosnia's squad for a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier with Estonia, against whom he made his official debut.
