Daniel Guerrero is the former mayor of San Marcos, Texas.

Guerrero earned a bachelor's degree from Texas State University and a master's degree from St. Edward's University.

Guererro served on the San Marcos City Council from 2004 to 2008. Guerrero was elected Mayor of San Marcos in 2010, by a margin of 42 votes. Guerrero was re-elected in 2012. Under Guerrero, San Marcos was named the fastest growing US city with a population greater than 50,000 in 2013.

Guererro serves as president of the San Marcos Education Foundation.
