The d'Udekem d'Acoz family belongs to the of Belgium.
The origin of the house of Udekem dates back to the Late Middle Ages, with the earliest notable member dated as dying in 1511. During its history, the house has been composed of several different families, among them the houses of Acoz and Guertechin. Guertechin was merged into this house in the 17th century, while in the 18th century the Heerlijkheid of Acoz was obtained via marriage.
Until 1999, the head of the d'Udekem family held the rank of Baron, and was not very famous. After the wedding of Mathilde d'Udekem d'Acoz with the Duke of Brabant, King Albert II extended the title of Count to all of the members.
Members of the family were active in politics and some are married to members of the Belgian high nobility.
