Corticata ("one with a cortex"), in the classification of eukaryotes (living organisms with a cell nucleus), is a clade suggested by Cavalier-Smith to encompass the eukaryote supergroups of the following two groups:
It can also be described as all Bikonts that are not Excavates or Rhizaria.
It is not clear that it is indeed a clade (that is, containing all organisms descended from a common ancestor, and no others). A study published in 2014 supported its monophyly.
