1953 The club stopped operating and in the mid 1960s principals at Souths Juniors like Ron Ellison asked Pat Hennessy, Syd Payne and

others to reform the club because they were concerned about the strength of Rugby Union in the area. The club shared Coogee Oval with Randwick Rugby Union, who trained on Tuesday and Thursdays and the Wombats on Wednesday and Friday.
