Adult Basic Education classes can provide Philadelphia residents with valuable, lifelong skills.

The college's Corporate Solutions unit offers workforce training initiatives for individuals looking to advance their career skills or prepare for new career.

Student life programs are offered, with a variety of clubs, organizations, and athletic activities to choose from. The college also offers study abroad programs.

There are three locations throughout the city to help make a college education more accessible:

The college opened on September 23, 1965, in the Snellenberg's Building at 34 South 11th Street. The Mint Building on the main campus, which opened for classes in 1973, served as the Third Philadelphia Mint from 1901 to 1969.
