Colin Macfarquhar

Colin Macfarquhar (1745? – 2 April 1793) was a Scottish bookseller and printer who is best known as being, with Andrew Bell, the founder of the Encyclopædia Britannica, first published in 1768. Macfarquhar also contributed heavily to the second and third edition. The dates of his birth and death remain uncertain, even to Britannica itself.
