Claudio Ariel Yacob (born 18 July 1987) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for English club West Bromwich Albion.
On 24 July 2012, Yacob signed for Premier League club West Bromwich Albion. He made his Premier League debut against Liverpool. During his debut he was awarded man of the match. In a highly successful debut season, in which Yacob developed a strong midfield partnership with Youssouf Mulumbu, Yacob won the club's player of the month award for March 2013. He scored his first and only goal for the club against Arsenal in the 2013/2014 season in a game that ended 1-1. On 10 July 2015, he signed a new two-year contract with the club keeping him at the Albion until Summer 2017. On 29 September 2016 Yacob signed another extension to secure his future at the club. It was a fresh two-year contract with an option of a further 12-months.
When not playing football, Yacob enjoys playing the guitar and painting. He also describes himself as a big fan of The Beatles and Adele.
